Remember Hi Low and Party Politics and 55K.
Give us a shout if you want - good to catch up and play some golf, hope all is well.
Hi Andrew,
Please forgive the unsolicited approach but I wanted to make you aware of the site I have launched because I believe it may be interesting to you.
yourhorseracingnews.com aims to let users aggregate links (together with descriptions) to all the racing content on the web, be it big (newspaper article) or small (forum post), and then use the power of the community to sort it into what is useful and what is not.
The benefit for the users is being able to identify the best content without having to read it all. The benefit for the story owner is more traffic.
I would be reall interested to know your thoughts.
Many thanks
Fraser
You know, this Betfair thing and European Horse Racing is fascinating to me….
I’ve been handicapping horses here in the US for many years. But I have many, many readers from the UK and from Australia, and I’m sadly lacking in knowhow when it comes to your specialty.
I’m also getting a lot of inquiries about “Laying” horses. That too is new to me… I could really use your help.
What are the chances of you acting as my Mentor, and showing me the ropes. I’d really like to master this art!
Let me know if we can be of mutual benefit - You teaching me, Me promoting you!!!
Thanks,
Buzz B Berkeley
Hello,
My name is Duane Brown and I am a retired jockey. I was disabled in a riding accident. I started a new website at http://www.thehorsejockey.com. I am hoping to promote my site to help me stay close to the action and make some income from home. I rode at Emerald Downs, Turf Paradise, and almost all tracks in California. I was mainly riding at Los Alamitos when I was injured. I hope you will check out my site and help me in any way you can. Thanks,
Duane

Hi Andrew - I interviewed for the CTO role at BF when you were based in Fulham and were only 10-15 staff (around the time you were going to run the ‘bookie is dead’ thing through London). With great regret, at the time I questioned the business model and was subsequently passed over!
Anyways, I am making a good deal of money from golf on BF these days as well as running a business of my own. Would be keen to get back in touch though particularly if you are looking for any senior hires with detailed sportsbook and exchange knowledge.
Best of luck with your string of horses.
Hey Andrew would love to get in touch with you and swap Boxall war stories !!!
I was disappointed that it was not possible to bet using Betfair on the charity England vs The Rest Of The World match.
Presumably it was felt that it would not be ethical to profit from a charty match (I cannot see why else you would not feature a game shown live on ITV1). If that is the case, could you not have simply donated your profits from the match to Soccer Aid?
