Any thoughts on Saturday's action, Bert, and did anything catch your eye last weekend (Cape Tribulation in particular)?

Paul Nicholls, for some reason, seems to have discounted I'msingingtheblues as an Arkle contender and, whilst he foots my ante-post portfolio, I was incredibly impressed by Doctor David last time out (despite Ferdy Murphy's excuses for Kalahari King). The forecast 11/2 looks too big.

The one horse that really interests me today is Pressgang (2.35 Sandown). Paul Webber obviously thinks plenty of him and to win the way he did at Kempton, given his erratic jumping, was seriously taking. He's worse off at the weights with Herecomesthetruth for a two length beating at Taunton, but Timmy Murphy wasn't exactly hard on him, was he?

Hope you manage to get Cox to sign an extension - I can imagine dealing with him and/or his agent would be anything but boring !

I've said it before, but I'm so pleased, relieved and grateful that STFC now have a set of shrewd (and open) people involved in running the club. I'm sure your investment hasn't brought a great deal of pleasure yet but Danny Wilson seems a good appointment and I'm confident the on field activities will soon improve. Do you manage to get to many games ?

The Sunday Times story reminds me of that old story.
Two blokes on the building site. Fisrt one asks second one "can you go down shop, and get me 20 Malboro. If they haven't got 20 Marlboro, get me something else instead, The second bloke comes back with a pork pie.
Let us jope Ollie does not take after his dad. The thought of "Bert" bursting into the betfair boardroom and doing his "Naked Guy" impression is too horrible to contemplate.
