Friday 13th part 1
Mar 13th, 2009 by Bert
A good day yesterday in most senses. I had a fair bet on Kayf Aramis, which put me right for the week. I decided not to bet in the two big races and lost a little money at the end of the day.
It was a long beery social day in the great Cheltenham tradition. I crashed out late and fell asleep on my glasses - they’re looking a bit sorry for themselves now.
I’m going in on Starluck today. It’s possibly a very good Triumph with a number of high class prospects. I’ve backed Starluck all year and I’m not deserting him now. Later I’ll go small on Sunnyhillboy and Weapons Amnesty. I’m still chewing on the Gold Cup - I can’t have Kauto at the price and Denman looks all wrong so I may go with Neptune or I may just watch.

Bert,
A very dissapointed Jon this morning, we have had to postpone our much anticipated visit to our captain Rio filly as she returned lame from her work this week. A precationary x-ray showed no damage but she is very sore and not working. Fingers crossed it doesn’t put her back to much in her preperations. Are you still planning to bring Max out on the first day of the season Bert?
