Hope at Warwick
Feb 22nd, 2008 by Mick
Bert and his family moved yesterday and are without internet access today, so he has asked me to add a quick comment about a runner at Warwick this afternoon. Bert has a share of Hope Road, Tom Dascombe’s only hurdler, who runs in the first. I spoke to Tom this morning and he thinks the horse has an each way chance at a decent price. The ground is expected to suit him better than what he raced on in his first two starts and Tom thinks enough of the horse to have submitted an entry for the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival. If he fails to make the improvement needed to get a run there, there is an alternative race at Stratford on the Monday of Cheltenham week.
Bert also asked me to mention Tom Dascombe’s blog - http://www.onewayracing.co.uk/blog/index.htm - to which Tom, his brother Ben and father Bill contribute.
Bert should be back online soon and will no doubt update you on plans for the farm/stud.

Hope Road was over 14 lengths behind the winner today and probably got very tired a quarter mile from the post. Hope springs eternal and perhaps this run will have brought him on a bit. Hope the moving day went OK.
Horse Racing Betting…
The bigger the field, the more chance there is that your horse won\’t give its true running….
