Small is beautiful
Jan 16th, 2009 by Bert
I’ve had the first pics of the new foal - will post when I have more time. She’s very small - partly down to being born early but we think she’s small anyway, which is probably down to the fact that her mother had her very young. She’s well though and looks good - chestnut at the moment although this can change to grey later.
I’ll be having one bet today. I’ve started following James Ewart who trains in the Scottish highlands. He doesn’t have many runners and he’s yet to have a winner this year. He’s installed an all-weather gallop recently and that should make a big difference. He has four runners today - I like Sa Suffit, who will be having his first run for James after a long break.

Great shout Bert.
Missed the advice by about 5 mins. Razum Frazum.
Outrageous aftertiming but my first three bets today were Jaunty Journey, Sa Suffit and Radmore’s Revenge. May call for another post.
50s, 12s and 12s. What a treble that would have been.
And another win for the yard with Super Baby under the promising Harry Haynes - well backed, too. I assume that was the net effect of Bert’s early afternoon profit!
Nicely done.
Do do do, Nigel Reo Coker
