Good job with Winker. I looked quite hard at the race before deciding to swerve it, siding with most others that I spoke to about it in that PCH’s FTO record is poor. I’m sure the victory hit a number of layers quite hard.

I fancied Katies Tuitor in the race Altilhar won at Ascot but KT ran no race at all. I saw Altilhar’s entry in the Scottish Champion Hurdle and, like you, thought it was a big ask for a four year old. Tommo was pretty bullish about Altilhar’s chance on The Morning Line where a price of 10/1 was quoted. He was certainly less than that at the off; I wasn’t tempted. The horse ran a good race, getting outpaced down the back straight but staying on to take a creditable fourth place.
