Ours was beaten into second - I haven’t spoken to Nick since the race but I’m told he ran well. Somehow I missed the race as I had it down as being at 12:50 - saved me a few quid. I’m a lot less keen on Straw Bear than I was last night and I don’t think I’ll back him now - the ground isn’t as soft as I would like and Nick wasn’t as bullish as I’d have hoped.

Just got into see Straw Bear win. I was kicking myeslf for not backing him. Thought I would check out your blog again. Ouch. Good call this morning. Sorry to see you went off it. That old gambling expression “never change your mind” or something like that. :-(.
