Betty baby

A debutante from a new trainer for me today as Bet Noir comes out in the 2:20 at Donny. She is owned by a syndicate made up of members of the Betfair senior management - I have 1/4 of her. Walter has said from the start that she is a backward type and is unlikely to win this year so I’m not expecting a lot, although I see Adam Kirby prefers her to the other Swinburn runner which is a positive.
I won’t be backing Bet Noir but I’ll be having a few bets later on. The 2:50 is a tough race - I’ve heard that Determind Stand goes well at home and I’ll favour him. In the 3:25 I’ll side with Out After Dark who is on a winning mark and might be coming back to form. In the 4:30 Prairie Tiger runs, owned by Michael Owen. He’s a big strong type and has taken a lot of getting fit. I know Nicky likes him a lot and having got his head in front he may be able to continue progressing. I may side with Suits Me in the last, a good consistent type from a stable I like.

Bet Noir looked pretty tidy in the paddock. But she was too keen early on and never really gave herself a chance to get home. There should be more to come with experience.
Bert,
I am not really a horseracing fan but thought this filly looked stunning. I have been told by wiser sages than myself that her mum improved 2 stone between her second and third run and stayed 1m 6f well. With her dad’s speed she looks a likely type for next year.
