Bert I recall you saying that Petes horses were working well, so yesterday I backed his Furious Belle e.w @14/1 and finished 2nd.She impressed greatly and is a winner in waiting. I then noticed across the card that MC had Grit running, thought that maybe his stable would be trying to give him a boost following his accident, so took him at 7/1 with the proceeds from 'Furious'....happy days, it can be extraordinary the rationale we sometimes use to pick winners.

It's about time these big-time gamblers were tamed by ALL governments. Short-selling with shares you do not own should be classed as market fixing. "Borrowing" shares to sell and then buying them back at the lower price is price fixing in my opinion and should be outlawed.

Governments around the world seem unable to curb the greedy traders who seem to get away unscathed. I think Northern Rock should have been left to go to the dogs! Since then all the finance houses and banks seem to expect to be bailed out when their grasping financial wheeler-dealing goes wrong!

The whole house of cards could still collapse and in some ways I wonder if such a catastrophe would FORCE the leaders of all countries to get a real grip on the way financiers around the world seek to gamble with other people's money the way they have done for far too long.

Crazy world!

I thought Sri Kandi was getting a bit 'too hot' at the start and was also too keen in the race. Needs to settle down to progress and hopefully temperament wont get the better of her.
