Bougie Baby

A poor betting start to the flat on Saturday, and missing out on backing an easy winner of Pete’s. Don’t Panic looks the business - I wonder if he has worked with Winker.
Bouguereau runs in the first at Pontefract, and he needs to win well if we are to keep on believing that he could be special one day. He’s a nice horse at home and he isn’t a difficult ride now. Here’s hoping.
I won’t go up as I haven’t got time. I see Heaven Knows comes out, having been withdrawn from the Lincoln - I’d expect him to run very well. Earlier Sweetheart comes out on the flat having won a couple over hurdles. She might go well but I’m not sure she improved when she went over hurdles, I just think she took to them well, so I won’t be backing her. I like Farefield Lodge in the sprint - he nearly made all in his only previous start at Ponty, which was first time up last year. His form suggests he doesn’t like cut but there could be other explanations and his breeding suggests he’s likely to go on it. I’ll take my chances at decent odds.

Booogie on BOUGEREAU … He looks a fairly useful tool Bert. Fancy selling me a half share……he certainly went about his business when asked and scooted clear in a nice fashion. Could this be a Derby entrant after all Berty boy.

i quite like farefield lodge too, though I’ll watch the market. Great to see you at sandown and chelters
