Catching Up

A week away and a lot to report.
Effingham came nowhere - the vet has found a small fracture which could be the problem. He’ll be gelded now - should be ok next season.
We’ve had a decent offer for Lord Peter Flint which is subject to a vet’s exam - if he passes he’ll be sold. I’ll update later.
Major Eazy runs today having won nicely last time. It’s a decent listed race and he’s favourite in the early tissues. He should have an excellent chance - he might prefer it a little softer so I probably won’t back him, but that isn’t to say he won’t win. Prince Ary runs in a very competitive looking hurdle at Chepstow. He’ll have a fair chance, but again I’ll be watching rather than betting.
Lord Snooty is destined for Graham Motion’s stable in Maryland. Motion trains General Jumbo, a horse the CSH sold two years ago for a decent sum. The General has recently won a valuable grade 3 ($200k), breaking the 12f track record at Kentucky Downs in the process, which is excellent news - he’s a lovely horse and we always believed that in time he would turn out to be a classy animal.
I bought a very expensive yearling filly at the Tattersalls sale - a half sister to Dutch Art, she set me back 480k guineas, which is about as much as I’ve paid for the rest of my entire string. The CSH also bought a couple of horses - I’ll update when I have more detail.
