TG - away from BF day to day but still keeping busy on the work front in a whole host of areas.

Mark - maybe in a few years. I'm not naturally hard working but I think I'd go a bit mad if I didn't have work on.

Philip - Silverjet upset me but I didn't make a big investment. I thought about it, but my prospective co investors were put off by the scaremonger analysts etc. I think they were a good company and it's a shame to see them go to the wall.

Re. SW - I think she'll run very respectably but a win would be a surprise. I'd wait until she's back in claiming class, probably next time at Redcar if the ground comes up ok.

Hmm... Just noticed that "Berts Memories", a C&D runner, is in the same race as Sheps Wrning. A forecast in mind...?

I'm not sure if Bert's around this morning but | can help on the SW front. She had a break over the winter after a fairly busy two year old career. The original plan was to run her in a claimer at Leicester last Tuesday but Nicky felt he needed a bit more time with her. Leicester is a course that appeals as she doesn't like getting crowded and a straight 7 furlongs may suit, so we have decided to let her take her chance in a handicap there. In truth she is pretty high in the handicap for what she has achieved and we would have to be pleased if she manages to get involved in the finish. However, she tries and is appears adaptable in terms of ground so we hope there are more races to be won with her, though claiming company may be where she is most comfortable at present.

It seems to me that Bert's luck is none too good of late and now that Silverjet has virtually folded one can only hope that the stake in that venture was relatively small. Of course, if Bouguereau comes round Tattenham Corner ten lengths to the good then that would indicate a change for the better.;-)

Bert forget the work and just concentrate on your horse and following them and the enjoyment it brings. If like me you are in your forties thenlife will soon pass you by. Luckily you are in a dream position whereby you can do anything you want within reason so go buy that beautiful villa in the sun and relax and enjoy. I am sure i would if i could. Im sure with your family and your horses, oh and Swindon FC you can fill the days in.

I suppose you could sign a couple of Brazilian youngsters from one of the Brazilian Leagues and make Swindon FC a force tobe reckoned with. Book yourself a flight and go to Sao Paulo and sign a handful of up and coming youngsters cheep and see what Swindons manager thinks. You never know they might aspire to be like Renaldo and you could sell them on make millions more and Swindon can be like Chelsea within 5 yrs. Ahh Dreams, at least they dont cost money unless you pursue them that is,altho they can also make you money if you pursue them.

Better luck in the future with the NAGS
