Happy New Year
Jan 1st, 2009 by Bert
Happy New Year to all blog readers.
Not a lot going on with my horses at the moment. Tifernati comes down to Gary Moore’s any day now, and we should know fairly soon what sort of prospect we have. Astrodome has a massive appetite and is eating Gary out of house and home - we need to get going with him to stop him putting on too much weight. There should be runs in January for horses with both Nick Gifford and (on the flat) Nicky Vaughan.
No strong fancies running today. Three small bets I may have;
Rimsky in the 1:10 and Cheltenham has a little quality and could be up to the test if at his best.
Cosmologist interests me in the 1:10 at Fakenham. He comes back from a long layoff, and Charlie Egerton is capable of getting this type to win first time. Mvuto looks good for the forecast.
Master Darcy is trained just up the road from me - he’s a half brother to Diamond Harry and makes the trip to Exeter. Sam Thomas rides - he may have a squeak.
