Congrats are in order..I am so please to see Winker Watson mixing it with Europe Top-Milers in a Group 1…I-year-off on his 2nd run in a Group1 beaten 3/3/4lths by Europe Champion-Milers,say no more.
Mr Black I want to ask you to sell me a Nomination for my Mare Glory Oatway x (Desert Prince) as soon as he’s Retired.

Mick get Bert boy to have a real good look fro some nice horse for Mr Dascombe to train. I must state tho and i think Bert will agree (wont you Bert !) that you need an elemnt of luck in running to find the right horse and NO amount of money can guarantee a Derby winner. You only have to look at that horse that 10million $$$$ was pa\id for by the Arabs and could not win a maiden before picking up a race for £3,500 or somin like that. Sometimes you can find a better horse for a fraction of the cost of the millions the Sheiks pay and it rewards your faith as Tom Dascombe has proved.

Agreed Mick Richard Kingscote and Ross are valuable assets to Tom, Just hope one of the big yards doesn’t poach Richard next year. See Tom has entered the legal blonde into a listed at Ascot today… on previous looks like it has no chance but I can’t help thinking that he’s compared it to the work done by his 2 yo’s that won group 2’s and may just fancy it to put it into a listed now. Get on boys 30’s on betfair

Don’t rule out Tom having a hand in next year’s classics anyway with the cheap team of horses he acquired at last year’s yearling sales. He had Group 2 success at the July meeting with horses that cost £12K and £5K and the fact that he has made a Group 1
Cheveley Park entry for an unraced filly he bought for just £9K suggests he may have more bullets to come.

Re The Game, I think the Racing UK pundits were right in highlighting Richard Kingscote’s role in getting him home. The horse has been a difficult ride in the past but Richard’s calm style seemed to suit him and helped him to settle.

Tom is becoming like a 2nd income… hope others on this blog were on the Game last night that went off at a betfair sp of 22!!!!!!!!!!! Another classic dascombe training feat of turning around a previously underperforming horse.

Bert, please can you give Tom a real top class animal for next years classics….. I’ll chip in a bag of feed mate.
