I have a runner today in the 6:10 at Kempton - Scrapper Smith looks to make amends for his poor first run at Haydock last time.
Scrapper was fancied that day, and in a fairly competitive looking heat he was backed in to favouritism. It wasn’t the owners backing him - we were surprised to see the money coming in - but we do like him as a prospect and we expected him to run well. He still goes very well on the home gallops - maybe he’ll put it all to rights today.
The sun is shining in Surrey today and it’s great drying weather for Epsom. It won’t last though - the rains look odds on to return tomorrow and it could rain right through until the Derby. I fancy a bit of the 2/1 available on soft ground for the Derby (VC).

Good each way third for Scrapper. Cheers!
Bert. One of the readers on my blog asked the classic question.
“Is it a good idea to go full-time trading on the exchanges?”
I have posted a reply.
I would love it if you could add a thoughtful intelligent comment.
If you are too busy don’t worry.
Mick Stone’s comments would also be good.
The post has 1 or 2 jokes in as well, so is almost worth a read.
