Will the tongue strap make the difference? I won a good bit last year on Winker in this race so must have something on Skid Solo and hope for the best. I don't see the draw as a great worry, high numbers haven't fared badly this year in fields of this size. Three of the first four home in the Jersey Stakes were drawn in double figures and Festivale came from 13 to beat my selection Illusion (drawn 2) in the last yesterday. That race sealed a wretched day for me yesterday in front of the telly. I went to Ascot on a day trip from home in Cornwall on Tuesday and came home £300 ahead. Very small fry compared to the high rollers who will share the Betfair box today but a good result for me!
