A bad day 1 financially but I made some of it back yesterday. I don’t think I’ll be betting much today as I’ve got such a busy day on – I’ll back a few rank outsiders to keep me interested.
Latin America was well beaten in the bumper yesterday, but we were happy with the performance. He couldn’t go the pace of the race, but he stayed on in the closing stages and ran through a lot of horses at the end. He’ll be put away now and will come back hurdling next year.
I had a decent bet on Crescent Island in the first at around 50-1 – I got excited as he went clear with two to go but it wasn’t to be. Bum.
The Betfair lounge is good this year – it’s great to be back in the fray for a while.
