A winner yesterday with Peintre D’Argent getting home in the last at Wolver. It isn’t Ascot but a win’s a win and the syndicate had some money down. We missed the big prices preferring not to back early – it was disappointing to see the price collapse from 10-1 to an opening 4-1. She may run again on Monday under a penalty, and if she does she ought to go close.
I don’t have a strong view on the big race. I’ve backed Arbor Supreme and I’ve had a saver on Hello Bud.
The 15th is shaping up to be a real day of reckoning for me with 5 runners across the card – I may also have a runner (Thingathong) on the 14th. I’ll update next week.
