Tif

A runner tomorrow, and a possible winner – Tifernati goes in the 2:10 at Hereford, and if he can’t win he isn’t going to win anything.

He was found with a tendon problem in a one of his back legs last season – it’s unusual as tendon issues are normally in the front legs. It took him a long time to recover, and since he’s been back he hasn’t really fired – there are signs that he is recovering his form though, and this is an extremely low quality contest. It will be disappointing if he doesn’t win.

I’ve been spending a lot of time talking to my various trainers, and there’s a lot of general feedback. The best news probably concerns Morana, who has been showing a lot of sparkle and in particular a lot of speed. We were going to aim him at the Dante, but we’ve reconsidered and now he probably goes for the Craven. If he goes well there then we’ll probably take our chances in the Guineas.

We’re pretty positive – he’s come on a lot. He could go very well in the Craven – he might be up to winning it. The Guineas is probably a different matter – I think St Nicholas Abbey could be a bit special and he might win everything.
