Update

A better day today but I should have been a little more selective instead of padding out my post with half fancies.  I’m glad I substituted in my ten to follow as both of my substitutes (Nickname and Inglis Drever) have won now.

I had a runner today that I forgot to mention – King’s Head ran at Lingfield, making the running but finishing out the back.  He wasn’t fancied – he needs firm ground and he’s been crying out for a run, but it’s been too soft for him.  We’ve certainly not given up with him.

I’m surprised at Tsonga’s price against Djokovic tonight – I think he should be a lot shorter.  The time to back him was after he beat Murray – there was enough evidence to suggest the result was for real – but he may still be value now.  Unseeded players don’t generally do well in finals which is perhaps why he is such a long price (or maybe it’s because Djokovic looked so good against Federer) but it’s normally a bit of a fluke when an outsider makes the final and I think Tsonga is here to stay.
