Jockey trouble

Following my good day yesterday I’ll be coming back for more today, and the race I like is the King George Stakes.  I’ve been planning to back Wi Dud all day.  Our lawyer at Betfair knows some of the owners (similar connections to Amadeus Wolf) – the horse is apparently very well and the conditions look ideal for him to run a big race.

I have no doubt that Wi Dud will run an excellent race, and will probably come in for strong support.  The problem is that I have a massive opinion of Enticing after her win at Bath first time up this season – I love speedy fillies and with conditions in her favour she could take the world of beating.  After a fairly quiet spell her stable looks bang in form – I have to side with her.  I’ll have a small bet on Miss Lucifer later on, and that should be it for me today.

We’re having trouble booking a rider for Bouguereau on Saturday – I’d assumed Jimmy Fortune would ride but he’s been retained by John Gosden to ride theirs in the race.   Effingham is entered in a maiden next Wednesday at Pontefract, and since it’s close to the Timeform offices I may go up and perhaps do some entertaining.
