Busy

I’m having a very busy time at the moment and I’ve been a bit slack looking after the blog, so apologies to my readers.

My life can be quite frustrating. Since I went part time at Betfair I’ve filled the gaps with all sorts of other stuff. I have my directorship of Swindon Town, I’m chairman of BettorLogic and I’m a director of GolfBidder. I’m an investor at GameAccount and I do a lot with them – I have around twenty other equity investments where I have no board seat. Separately I have the building of the stud, and we have builders all over the place at the moment, and of course my family.

The problem is that the work comes in fits and starts – some weeks I haven’t got a spare second and others I have next to nothing to do all week. Recently it’s been a bit crazy – betting companies tend to get stuff out of the way in advance of Cheltenham and I’ve had a lot to go to.

All of which attempts to explain why I haven’t been looking after my blog.

One runner today – Theophrastus goes at Newbury, and he ought to have a chance at least. The ground won’t help him much – he’ll go on it fine but I think he’d be better if it were a slog. The distance is a big plus. He lacks experience and his jumping was pretty sketchy last time. He’d be worth considering for a bet if the price was right.

We had a winner on Sunday with Latin America, and he’s shaping up to be a nice horse.  We’ve given him an entry for the Cheltenham bumper but he probably won’t go for it.
