Fortune favours the Bravery

I have a runner at Aintree tomorrow with Prince Ary getting in to the last race and I think he has a very respectable chance.  It’s his second run back from a wind op, he ran well for a long while last time before he blew up and he may strip a bit fitter this time – he has the right to.  I think he’ll run a good race.

I’m treating most of the Aintree card as viewing pleasure only, the one exception being Binocular who is surely the one to be on in the novice – I may have a real go at him.  At Leicester Oasis Wind runs – I followed him throughout last season, and I thought he looked the type to progress from 2 to 3.  With the Cole yard in good form I think he’ll win.  Another yard in good form (and in a new yard) is Giles Bravery, who has had the grim hit rate of 5 winners from 140 rides over the past two years.  If he has hit form his horses will be well handicapped, and with the assistance of Robert Winston I give Bustan, a first time winner last year, a chance in the last despite concerns about the ground.
