Three runners today in the first three races at Newbury. In brief; Nicky Nutjob is a decent prospect but probably no more than that. I doubt he’ll win – a place is a possibility. Skid Solo is a star on the home gallops but has been very disappointing on the track. He could surprise us and win today but I won’t be holding my breath.
Marine Boy could be a star in the making. He’s as well as he’s ever been and we think he was unwell when he ran badly last time, but he has it to prove today. Brian runs the favourite and Pete has the second favourite, both likely to run well, but I’ll be hoping MB shows them a clean set of hooves. I’ve taken a box today and I may have all three trainers in it, which will be interesting.
