I’m busy today with site meetings around the farm – we’ve got builders everywhere at the moment and the place is a mess.
I’ve got one runner today – Viscaya goes in the 2:30 at Wolver. She was a speculative claim a while back – she’d shown a little form, something was clearly amiss and if we could put it right we thought we might have something. As it turned out she had a fairly serious ulcer problem. She’s been on treatment and is largely sorted now – she’s calmed down and is easy going. Her recent home work hasn’t been encouraging though – we think she may have enough ability to win at this level but she may not be in love with the game.
Nicky has two other runners at Wolver – Supercast and Emerald Rock – and they might go well. Supercast is a reliable sort who’s won four times for Nicky – I think he’s expected to run a solid race. I don’t know a lot about Emerald Rock but he looked like a nice prospect when I last saw him.
